Tie-Dye T-Shirt Tutorial

Tie-dyeing, formerly known as zha xie and jiao xie. In ancient times, common anti-dye printed textiles included jiao xie, la xie, and jia xie. It is a traditional and unique dyeing technique of the Han nationality folk. It is a dyeing method in which part of the fabric is tied up during dyeing so that it cannot be colored. It is one of the traditional Chinese manual dyeing techniques.
Preparing materials: special dyes for tie-dyeing, pure cotton T-shirt, rubber band, gloves, water basin, sealed bag, etc.


Step 1: First, soak the T-shirt in clear water, then wring it out. Try to wring it out as much as possible.


Step 2: You can first draw the image you want to tie-dye with chalk, and then tie out the pattern with a rubber band.


Step 3: Drip coloring materials to tie-dye the T-shirt.


Step 4: Put it into a sealed bag and open it after sealing for 24 hours.


Step 5: After 24 hours, wash it with clear water four to five times until it does not fade.


Step 6: After washing and drying, you can wear it.
